I still hate how MAL refuses to add this to their list. Official or not, this is THE Touhou anime of choice, and I will watch it every single year a new episode releases

Let's be honest here, MAL is very strict with what it adds. Usually it's only official content and it cannot be American made. That's why RWBY isn't allowed on MAL. But it has slowly started to become less strict, thus Manwha adaptions becoming a thing and even anime adaptions of Webtoons becoming a thing.

But some people still are very strict about the definition of anime as the website is My Anime List. I'm sure eventually, down the line, it may get a section but the people that run the website need to adjust to the times.
